Magician, Entertainer - Brett Sirrell

This morning i spent most of my time trying to sort out my website.  If anyone was visiting it, they will have probably noticed strange bits of text magically appearing throughout the day and then disappearing as quickly.  I have managed to get the home page W3 validated if you know what that means!  The remaining pages may be a bit more of a challenge.

Then the phone started ringing and i hade to try and sort out bookings as well as trying to find other magicians.

Off to get a flu jab, now although they wont give me a Swine flu jab, i am too young and havnt paid enough taxes obviously!

Friday daytime Tanx teambuilding  for Firebird events.  Fortunately we only had 2 teams every other 40 mins where as everybody else had 1 team per 40.  Grass was a bit toughty and gave the tanks a hard time but overall everything was ok.

The following night Tanx at a social club in Iver,  myself and the Tanx got a hard time of it!

Sunday Wiazard and magic in DH Lawrence festival.  Apparently Harry Potter is the first book to outsell faster than Lady Chatterlies Lover.  So they had a harry potter day.  Makes sense doesn’t it!

A quiet week, with not much happening.  Although next week i have a run of several jobs.  Including two Tanx jobs so i will spend some time getting the tanx up and running. 

Tomorrow, wythall canraval helping run a make and do craft work shop.

Juggling Show at Draycote water Sailing club Warwickshire

Pretty much a typical mid summer weekend.  Magic and fundays.  Friday evening i was working with Caracturist  Luisa Calvo.  Probably one of the best caricaturists around,  very experienced and superb drawings.  I shared travel with her and it was great to chat and have the company on a job.  The event was Moreton Morrell College Summer ball, in Warwickshire.  Close up Magic around the tables.  Nice to around people with lots of enthusiasm, great responses! 

Saturday, a old boys reunion at Shiplake college.  Lots of punters with pink shirts!  Magic, juggling lots of amazing balloon modelling for the kids.  Not the most comfortable of surroundings, like being in a training (cloning) ground for future PMs or MDs. 

Then suday was a nice relaxing fun day for a friend who organisies the funday for Draycote Water Sailing Club.  http://www.draycotewater.co.uk/ Warwickshire

Sunu day morning,  driving up to Manchester United  to work close up magic in the corporate suites before the game.  It wasn’t until i got close to Old Trafford that i realised i had to do 3hrs work before i would even get to see the game!!

The suites were much busier the usual, and i was spread over 3 rooms, covering all the tables would have been impossible,  as usual so i was able to relax a little.   Tried some new material which worked ok. 

The game was superb,  we couldn’t get into our usual spot to see the game as it was so busy,  so we watched from the other end and then went back down to the usual spot at half time.  This couldn’t have worked out better as we got to see both goals from the best positions.  After the 3rd goal Old Trafford was going completely nuts!!

I am now making waist coats for a Burns Night job next week!!
